Watercolor paintings have fascinated my imagination since kindergarten. Its easy to recognize the same magic happening to others during workshops, and doubly satisfying to personally experience this feeling on a daily basis in the studio.

Overall, the key to a good watercolor painting is the conservation of the white of the paper and its use within the composition. Since watercolor does have a will of its own, the painting process becomes one of controlled chaos, never redundant and always fascinating.


I am a Graduate of Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado with degrees in Art and Geology, and have ongoing graduate studies at the University of Wisconsin in Fine Art. I have painted professionally for over 20 years.
