WELCOME!

My gallery overlooks Lake Superior near where I was born. Magnificent in its size, power and beauty, the lake has the capacity to take your breath away, stop all thoughts, and put you squarely in the moment. That’s heady stuff for a painter.

I paint to nourish my soul. Watercolor offers a tremendous feeling of peace as its fluid nature leads you down the creative path, and sets your imagination free. I’m fascinated by the luminous washes, and the shimmering white of the cotton paper. Watercolors are simple, portable and highly spontaneous. Great attributes not found in other painting mediums.

I also work with hand printed collage papers, transparent acrylics and love painting on silk with steams set dyes.

All workshops center on mentoring students to find and develop their individual passion for art. My workshop coordinator, Michele Auger and I have facilitated annual shows featuring hundreds of paintings from seminar participants since 1990. During our many journeys, we have formed life long friendships, made fabulous memories and have had a tremendous amount of fun painting. We welcome new students with open arms!
