Established in 1988, my studio overlooks Lake Superior, near the place where I was born. The lake’s extraordinary beauty clears my mind and brings me fully into the moment. I believe that sense of wonder is at the heart of why I became a painter.
Watercolor is my favorite medium—fluid, luminous, spontaneous, and wonderfully unpredictable. The transparent washes and glowing white of cotton paper create a quality unlike any other medium. While I also work in collage, transparent acrylics, oils, and on silk, watercolor remains my passion.
WORKSHOPS
Our workshops are about more than learning technique. They are about helping each artist discover and develop their own creative voice. For more than 30 years, Michele Auger and I have shared our love of painting with students, forming lifelong friendships and wonderful memories along the way.
We welcome new students with open hearts.
